Marbella, September 29, 2013 10:00 Half Marathon (21.098 km)

Time: 1 h 49 m 07 s Location: 928/2000 Category: 127

I came back to running a race after three months, after having had the knee injury that unfortunately would affect all my upcoming races, so I can say goodbye to the old days that I managed to arrive with the result of 1 hour 35 or 1 hour and 40 minutes. In fact, this time I arrived at the finish after running for 1 hour and 49 minutes, the highest since I started running half-marathons but, given my physical form, however, it leaves me satisfied. The race of Marbella is not a big race, the runners are about 2000 runners, nevertheless it is full of charm and organized with great passion. The departure was scheduled for 10 am and located about 500 meters from the arrival which was the entrance to the marina. It was possible to receive the bib number up to one hour before the start. It was easy to park the car without losing time for searching for the car park, as there were many parking spaces available. The route is very interesting, with a start going downhill to facilitate the flow of runners and all within the first few kilometers of the old part of the city. The second part of the race is all along the beach until the arrival, then fairly flat, luckily it was not a windy day and not so hot. The inscription was very easy to make even if the site is only in Spanish and the price is average for races in Spain. The t-shirt and medal for the participants are very cute, supplies more than enough. The atmosphere of racing in these places, especially those in the seaside towns are always pleasant and unique thanks to the support of the people during the race and on arrival. You can really feel it.
