		Bilbao, October 19, 2013 21:00 Half Marathon (21.098 km)

		Time: 1 h 50 m 41 s Position: 1438/3100 Category: 124

The half marathon absolutely not to miss. It offers the view of the
centre of Bilbao and the lovely riverfront illuminated in a perfect way.
The race takes place, in a rather unusual way, in the evening. The start
is located next to the Guggenheim Museum and this makes this race really
special with the fireworks, fire mouths and bands playing, the thousands
of participants were able to attend one of the most beautiful departures
		of a marathon. The

		bib
could be received not far away from the start, which was in the centre,
in any case, the town is very small and all the sights are within easy
reach, it is better not to use a car to get to the start, as during the
day of the race almost all downtown streets are closed. The very few
ascents offer the opportunity to run with a good time, though as far as
I'm concerned, after 6 months without training it was a miracle that I
managed to finish the race. But I have to say that only the
participation is more than enough to run this unique event. Tens of
thousands of people along the streets cheer and applaud the runners.
Negative note: the official race t-shirt that was in the runner’s kit
was pink both for men and women. Every finisher was given a medal.
